Powered by SignalTuned. Signal over noise — ten rules for winning a one-year league, from the draft board through the Week 17 waiver wire, and the engine features behind each one.
Early rounds are for certainty: secure, high-volume roles that score every week. Save the boom-or-bust swings for the rounds where a miss costs you nothing. Variance is a luxury you earn after your starting lineup is safe.
How SignalTuned helps
The colored Tier rows on your board group players by real production breaks. Draft from the top tiers while the talent is locked in, and save your boom-or-bust swings for once the tiers flatten out.

Worship volume in season-long scoring.
One year is too short for efficiency to stabilize, so chase the players who are fed. Target share, carry share, and snap rate are the most repeatable week-to-week signals there are. The back getting 18 touches beats the back averaging 5.5 a pop, every time, over a full season.
How SignalTuned helps
The Custom Intelligence Layer drives the ranking order, and clicking a player reveals his Volume Quality Score — so the workhorses rise to the top and the efficiency mirages fade down the board.

Do not reach for last year's points.
Prior-season fantasy finish is a ranking, not a projection. Touchdown regression, schedule luck, and role change scramble the order every year. Draft the role a player will have this season — not the box score from last one.
How SignalTuned helps
The board ranks on this season's projected role and opportunity, not last year's finish — so the order you're drafting from is already looking forward instead of back.

Let the draft come to you.
Positional runs are emotional. Your tiers are not. When a tier is about to empty, act. Otherwise take the best value on the board and let the panicking drafters reach past you. Tiers exist precisely so you never draft on adrenaline.
How SignalTuned helps
Inside the fully customizable Draft War Room, the Run Predictor calls what the field is about to do and Opponent Needs shows which teams still need your position — so you act on the board's structure, not the room's panic.

Value the bench correctly.
Bench spots are not there to make you feel safe. They're there to capture the next breakout before your league does. Don't burn three slots handcuffing your own starters — spend them on the players one snap away from a feature role: the rookie back splitting carries behind an aging starter, the number-two receiver who becomes the number one if the veteran ahead of him gets hurt or traded, the backup attached to a high-volume offense. Those are the bench stashes that win leagues off the waiver wire — not the kicker you drafted two rounds early.
How SignalTuned helps
Expand a player to see his Breakout Score (60+ flags an elevated breakout candidate), and check Free Agent Pickups in Recommendations. Together they point your bench at upside instead of dead-weight handcuffs.

Stream what is streamable.
Don't spend premium picks on positions you can replace every week. Defense and kicker are matchup commodities — take them in the last two rounds and rotate them on schedule strength all season. In shallower formats, quarterback and tight end can often be played as a weekly matchup too: pair a mid-tier passer facing a soft pass defense with a streamable option the following week and you've replaced a sixth-round quarterback for free. Concentrate your real draft equity at running back and wide receiver, where week-to-week replacement is hardest and the talent drop-off is steepest.
How SignalTuned helps
The Weekly Lineup optimizer in Recommendations shows each spot's matchup — opponent defense rank versus that position — so streaming your DEF, K, or a fill-in QB becomes a weekly system instead of a guess.

Chase the matchup, not the reputation.
Weekly scoring is driven by opportunity and opponent. A mid-tier player against a soft defense outscores a name-brand player in a tough matchup more often than you'd think. Start the situation, not the jersey.
How SignalTuned helps
The Weekly Lineup optimizer puts the matchup right next to the player (for example, “vs Rank 8 DEF”), so your start-sit call reflects this week's opponent — not last year's reputation.

Attack the waiver wire proactively.
Your Week 1 roster is a hypothesis, not a conclusion. The managers who win redraft treat every Tuesday as a chance to upgrade — but the great ones aren't reacting to last Sunday, they're reading the next two weeks. Add the backup the week before the starter's role erodes. Grab the receiver whose target share has quietly climbed three weeks running, before the box score makes it obvious. Stash the runner about to inherit a workhorse role, not the one who already did and now costs your entire budget. Beat your league to the breakout by looking forward, not back.
How SignalTuned helps
Free Agent Pickups in Recommendations ranks adds by the lift they bring your roster, and a player's Breakout Score flags rising usage before it shows up in the box score — so you can move on the breakout early instead of chasing it.

Do not fall for preseason narrative.
Camp buzz, “best shape of his life,” and beat-writer hype are noise with no predictive signal. Anchor on the data: role, volume, and the depth chart in front of him. If the story isn't backed by opportunity, it isn't a reason.
How SignalTuned helps
The board is built from measurable role and opportunity (open any player for his Volume Quality Score), giving you a narrative-proof baseline to check the camp hype against.

Manage the season, not the draft.
A great draft is worth a few wins. Great in-season management is worth the title. Set your lineup on data, work the wire, and make the unsentimental start-and-sit call every week. And remember — this is a game. If you have conviction on a player the engine is cooler on, that's allowed. SignalTuned is here to sharpen your decisions, not to take away your autonomy. When in doubt, do what's the most fun for you.
How SignalTuned helps
The Weekly Lineup optimizer, matchup data, and Free Agent Pickups keep you sharp from Week 1 to the title — while the final call always stays yours.
